From the 5th until the 29th April, 2011
Director of the ACOSS artist residency Mkrtich Tonoyan was granted by the Arts and Culture Network Program of Open Society Foundation do research on the the USA Art-residency management practices,participating in the TransCultural Exchange Conference on International Opportunities in Boston, Emerging Program Institute by Alliance of Artists Communities in Kansas City and visiting New York contemporary art community.
These invitations will give him opportunity to research on experience of artists-in residency programs operating in the USA; obtain knowledge on management models of such programs, establish network with other participants, study fundraising methods, funding sources and their interests, visit art galleries and spaces in Boston, Kansas City and New York, meet art managers and artists interested in realization of projects in Armenia, present our activities and potential, and establish agreements on future cooperation.
