President of ‘AKOS’ Cultural NGO and founder of the ACOSS residency program and practicing artist.
Presentation was about the ACOSS centre, the cultural
landscape of Armenia and the art of Mkrtich Tonoyan.
There were present artists and art operators from the local art feild
and after talk was discussion about the concept of “Military Art” and the
founder of this direction in contemporary art.
Information on ISIS ArtsISIS Arts is an artist led, visual and media arts organisation which was founded in 1991 and, for almost twenty years, has run an international programme of commissions, residencies and events. Founded by co-directors Sharon Bailey and Clymene Christoforou, our core ethos is to support artists to facilitate international and inter-cultural exchange and to engage as wide an audience as possible in dialogue with artists and artworks. We actively seek out and engage with artists of all backgrounds and cultures to produce work that explores identity and challenges prejudice, creating projects of international relevance and local significance.
